Tonight, I asked Jamie if she would come to prom with me… I knew I would have a great time with her; she’s so much fun to be around
. But prom is April 17… the same day as HISTORY DAY. Let’s pause here for a quote, courtesy of Cait:
Cait: HISTORY DAY IS SATIN
Seth: …
Cait: oops Satan. HAHAHAHAHA :p
I seem to be running out of options, quickly. Oh well, I’ll figure something out. Nothing wrong with going alone. Or I could always ask Keira Knightley… eh Rory & webworldx?
I say things online that I would never say in real life. I wonder if it comes from the fact that I’m not face to face with the person… or that I simply don’t think through things as much as I would in reality… or if I’m simply less inhibited. Ah well… makes for interesting conversations!
I updated InvisionTools’ excellent NomIcon pack for Trillian Pro 2 with an extensive XML rewrite. You can download my version here. ‘Tis much nicer, if I do say so myself.
I went to B&B today, and they had 60% off all the stuff from a Radio Shack store that went bankrupt. I picked up a ton of audio cables and adapters for like 1/5 of what it would have cost me in the store. Er… make that 2/5. 2/5 is 40%. Lol.
Update: I rewrote the pack completely for Trillian 3. You can get it here.
Bah. Last night we had some pretty interesting events at all hours of the night. Today was our last day of school before spring break, so I stayed up late last night watching Radio. About 1:00, I headed to bed… but at 1:15, the doorbell rang. It was the police.
Apparently some vandals had paid us a visit and (along with a couple other cars) tipped over Nate’s Yugo. It was pretty smushed up. The side is all dented and the mirror on that side is gone. I’ll try to post pictures if I get a chance to resample them.
UPDATE: Yugo
UPDATE 2 3-18-2004: There was an article in the paper today… front page. I’ll try to reproduce it sometime. It was a pretty nice article… talked about how Nate worked hard for his Yugo, &c. But! This morning, a guy from Parsons, OK called. He had read the article; he told us a story about how when he was in high school, somebody rolled his VW Bug. He now owns a body shop… and he told us he’d like to fix the Yugo for free!
It was going to cost around $2000 to fix, and he said it’s all paid for. Wow. It’s wonderful to know there are truly good people left in this world.
