The Sword of Truth
I just finished Book II in the Sword of Truth series, Stone of Tears. Terry Goodkind is one of the best fantasy authors I have EVER read. Probably top two. Highly, highly recommended. There are a ton of books in the series, though (I have the first seven), and each book gets progressively longer. The second one was pushing 600 pages. Some of the later ones are upwards of 1000.

Do yourself a favor and skip Pillars of Creation. Actually, you could skip Naked Empire and a few others, too. They’re not that great, but to get the full experience of the series I suppose you have to trudge through them.

I’m up to Soul of the Fire and about a fifth of the way through it. Loving it all so far. I hope I won’t be surprised when I get to Pillars of Creation.
