That’s the first time I’ve ever been smacked down in French for talking TOO much… I was answering all the questions because I knew all about the poem we were studying and answered all the questions :p
Hannah and I ate brunch together this morning, so that was a good start to my day. She mentioned that she hadn’t tried one of the smoothies from the Freshens on campus, but that she liked smoothies. Cue good idea. She had to go study most of the day (12:00 - 4:00) for her big history quiztest tomorrow, so she was up in her room the whole time.
So later I was in zoology and I asked her what sort of smoothie she liked, just “offhand” :p When we got out of zoo I booked it over to Freshens and got a strawberry banana smoothie for her. I popped up to her room and knocked on her door, and told her it was to help her study… I had them put the “memory enhancer” in the smoothie :p I hope she liked it…
The presidential debate is in an hour. I’ll probably try to pop in and watch it.
So Paige came over for tutoring tonight. After we were done, she was like “Let’s go shoe polish Pastor Kitchel’s car!” So we jumped in the car and went and bought shoe polish, then drove around for like 45 minutes trying to find his apartment (she knew the street but not the number, and there were approximately 200 apartments). FINALLY we found it… I got some great pictures that I’ll post later. The Photos section needs redone. I don’t know how I can work it b/c I don’t have much disk space, but we’ll see. Temporarily:

I’m in the process of writing up a fairly comprehensive first impression of SuSE. But here’s the basic idea:
Linux is finally usable. Not eminently so, but usable. I don’t have to make a special point of working to fit SuSE, it does what I need it to do and it does it pretty dern well. There are definitely caveats. But not nearly as many as a year ago.
My French test went really well yesterday (was insanely easy compared to a Boots test from high school) and so I’m pretty free for the rest of the week. Off to chemistry and buffers. I hear they’re hard.
I just spent a wonderful fun hour over at Hannah’s just hanging out, but now I should study. Boo. Good thing French is not hard.
Anyway, I went to check my mail today and there was a big envelope in the box. I pulled it out and it was a homemade birthday card from Drew and Robin! It was one of the sweetest cards I’ve ever, ever gotten. I’ve got to call them both and tell them how much it meant to me.
What a good day ^_^ it makes studying seem not so bad.
Paige is a huggy person. I am saved. No longer shall I be in hug deficit. I feel better even tonight… there is such a magic in human touch. Her personality is so similar to mine; we both have a very comfortable no-bubble understanding of one another. I tutored her for a few hours tonight… I’ve gotta find another way to work payment because I shouldn’t be charging her $15 an hour. We’re going to do lunch tomorrow instead of her paying me, so that is one way I can do things.
I spent a lot of the day (which wasn’t particularly long since I slept till noon! w33t!) writing this crazy music essay. It’s not hard, just long. And boring. It’s hard for me to stay focused writing about how the arpeggiation conveys excitement yada yada.
I was all excited to go to Wendy’s today and get a triplestack, so I hiked over to the sub (a good ten-minute walk) only to find they were closed! I had to settle for cold fries and small chicken at Chik-Fil-A. Boo.
Another essay to write tomorrow so I won’t be having much fun. Oh well. That means next weekend is free, free, free. I heart free life. (And the ternary operator but that is another story.)
EDIT: The ternary operator betrayed me. I shouldn’t be assigning a value to it when I’m performing action rightside of the operator and I don’t know how long I’ve been doing so. Title edited :p
