Wow, a fun day. I’m really liking this camera, and have already started quite a stash of pictures. Until I get time to upload them, you can say Hello to me at SethKinast.
Hannah came to church again today; the band played really well and everything was generally good. Then we went to Mazzio’s for lunch, and then I popped back home for an hour or so to pick up my room and work a bit. Then we went for Bible study and volleyball… except I ended up tutoring Paige in college algebra for 2 1/2 hours :-/ I really didn’t want to charge her, but she insisted, so I got $25… always helpful.
So by that time, it was about 5:30, and Pastor Kitchell decided he wanted to take us college kids (Sam, Nicole, Paige, Amanda, me) out for ice cream. So off to Rusty’s for large concretes. Then we went to Hastings and hung out… we were on our way home when Paige piped up, “Let’s go to a movie!” So we swung by the dollar theater and saw Shrek 2. Funnier the second time ^_^
I just ate leftover Mazzio’s pizza, mmm. Bedtime.

Arr, today be “talk like a pirate” day. In celebration:
MS Press Release:
“Here be monsters
Avast ye, scurvy knaves, beware of piracy!
September 19th in the year of our lord 2004: Ahoy there! Avast ye on Talk Like A Pirate Day!1 Those who sail aboard the good ship Microsoft have a warning for those bilge rats who make choppy the calm seas with their knavish software tricks.
Because those who try to take the piracy off the high seas and onto their PCs face a fate worse than walking the plank. For they risk cursin’ their businesses and being left up a creek without a paddle. They be sinkin’ too with no patches to shore up systems, and could catch something far worse than scurvy.
Captain Alex Hilton, of the good ship Microsoft, says: “A lack of swordsmanship and sailing skills will leave the landlubbers high and dry.”
So, on Talk Like A Pirate Day heed this tale of woe and do not bring the pirates tricks to your PC, for here be monsters. Yaaargh!”
So you all thought I was getting a Canon PowerShot S60. And I was. It was an awesome camera, and not very (~$400) expensive. It had all the features I wanted.
Oh wait. Except the DC-T50 has almost every feature the Canon does. And it’s $250 $200 $150. After two price cuts this little guy was too hard to resist. 5.25 MP, 6oz, 3x zoom… not much not to like! I picked up a 512MB SD card for $18 (SanDisk), and it uses rechargable Li-Ion batteries… so I’m good to go! Woot!
I’ll post a picture of it later. Oh. Wait. There’s one thing you can’t take a picture of with a camera… and that’s the camera itself :p. Just kidding, I’ll use my phonecam. ^_^
My t610 just broke! I didn’t drop it or spill on it or anything… but none of the buttons work except the numpad. It had to have happened in the last hour or so. So weird! Now I’ve gotta go into T-Mobile and see if they’ll fix it :S
Edit: Found this thread where the guy describes how to push on the case inside the battery compartment. Fixed. I think today is not a good day for me
