Dad came to visit this weekend for… “Dad’s Weekend”. What an odd name for such an event. Oh well :p
He brought my car, iPod, and miscellaneous other sundry assorted items. We spent a lot of the weekend driving around Norman figuring out where things were and what the best way to get to them was.
Had band practice today and it went very well. Probably the best it’s gone. So I am glad that playing at church tomorrow will be more fun and exciting than usual. Plus Hannah is back this week; her company was greatly missed. Now that I have a car, maybe we can go out to eat or something! Hmmm…
So after Dad left I went to finish up some laundry. I was in the laundry room when three VERY gay men came in. Flamboyantly, outrageous, hold-my-hand-I’m gay. So they started putting their clothes in the washer and they realize (after pulling out their matching pink change purses) they don’t have enough quarters for the washers. So they ask, “Can we borrow some quarters?” I didn’t have any either, but I offered to swipe my card for them (they weren’t OU students). +2 points for showing the love of Jesus to scary gay men :p So they were thankful and piled up all their nickels and dimes to come give to me. One of the three pranced across the room with his wrist at a 45 degree angle to give me the change. Maybe Christian t-shirt + treating them nicely will make them think, someday…
I’m going to work with my iPod a wee bit before bed, see if I can get it to mount under Linux. Looks hard >_< but I can try.
