I win

Thanks to the fact that no one ran against me, I am now the OU Pre-Med Club Webmaster. My first act as an officiate of the Club will be to change the title of this position to “Technology Coordinator”. My second act will be to pass a resolution declaring my supreme superiority over all areas electronic, the corollary to which is: “Hands off, Mr. Secretary-who-wants-to-be-in-charge-of-e-mailing-people”

Power is good.

Slowly, I find my niche

I helped Mark proctor the ZOO 1114 test yesterday, thanks to my pouncing on his e-mail 5 minutes after it arrived. I really like working in ZAP so this is another place I can get a bit of an in.

Just now, though, I walked into ZAP and Christine, the president of the OU Pre-Med Club, was sitting and discussing something with a few other officers. They all looked up as I came in and one of them said, “Hey Seth, you like computers, right?” I nodded. They all turned to each other and smiled. “Webmaster.”

Christine handed me an officer nomination form. The president of the club nominated me? Nifty! Knowing lots of people is a useful thing. The job of webmaster would be fun and not too demanding. I actually wanted to do it last semester! (But they already had someone.)

A very, very good resumé entry. I’m going for it.

LOL

Three Very Blonde Girls are walking on Walker-Adams Mall. One is carrying books; the other two are carrying a mattress in a peculiar fashion: they walk hunched over, their necks bent, supporting most of the mattress on their heads and shoulders.

VBG #1: Why are you girls carrying that mattress like that??
VBG #2: Because it’s totally ant-style!

Heh. Should have done that last year I guess.

Not bad at all

This schedule seems pretty good. Classes are going to start getting harder from here on out… this semester will probably be the most fun of any I have here at OU.
